Your Advanced Open Water course in Komodo

Scuba Diving Indonesia

Explore More

Improve your skills and experience brand new, exhilarating dive conditions under the supervision of your PADI Scuba Instructor. Each Adventure Dive will focus on specified skills including navigation, going deeper, drift & much more. This course will widen the variety of dive sites that you will be able to explore when fun diving around the world.

Practice leads to mastery

The PADI Advanced Open Water Course puts practice first, which means less book work and more diving! Your dive instructor will help you pick 5 Adventure Dives most appropriate for diving in the Komodo National Park. Required dives include the Deep Adventure Dive (maximum 30 meters) and the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive. There are many other options available for the other 3 dives, including Drift Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Nitrox, as well as a special offering just from us at Azul Komodo: Sidemount.

Course Philosophy & Structure

Diving is #1 in this course, but there are some theory requirements. Take advantage of your time in Indonesia by completing your course materials online before arriving. Then, you will get thorough briefings from your PADI Instructor before each Adventure Dive. All of this prep time will give you confidence in the skills and prepare you to adapt to each new environment. You will be amazed at your improvement as a scuba diver by the end of the course!

Adventure Dives Are Flexible

If you don’t have enough time to finish the course or part of your dive team is not quite 12 years old yet, don’t worry! There are plenty of options to gain more experience and get certified as an Adventure Diver and then continue the course at your leisure. Please contact us with details of your goals for your trip and we will work out a perfect plan for you.

You can also go deeper with an Adventure Dive that you loved. Sign up for the corresponding PADI Specialty course and your Adventure Dive counts as the first dive in the course. It’s a great way to get an introduction before committing to a full course.
